A Mraz Enagement - Tori and Peter

So I added another photographic first to my portfolio this weekend, an actual engagement.

Part of my job at Merriweather Post Pavilion is that of "staff photographer", where I take photos of our staff and then use them for our internal newsletter, slideshows, and staff Facebook page. As such most of our staff knows I have a camera and am always looking for something to shoot. Such was the case on Friday night, when I was given the heads up that a young man was going to propose during "I Won't Give Up".  I don't know much more of the details, but hopefully they will see this blog and get in touch with me!

So I made my way down to the front of the stage and sat patiently. I had to take pictures of the crowd to hide the real reason I was down there.

The fun part was that I had no idea where the song was in the set list...so I had to sit there waiting and every now and then taking pictures of the crowd to make it look like I had a legitimate reason to be down there. But finally I got the heads up, "Next song..." read the text.

Pretty much right as the song started he moved in front of her and dropped down on one knee.

I love the background expressions in this photo!

Even the County Executive, Ken Ulman, gave his Congratulations!
